We had 3 rooms for 10 nights: 1. ALL The staff are EXCELLENT. From check in, porters, valets, room service, housekeeping, pool attendants, waitresses and chefs at breakfast. 2. Reception tried to check us in early. 3. The rooms are a fine size and fully kitted out. 4. The breakfast was fantastic, huge range of hot and cold buffets, and the staff more than happy to do specific coffees. 5. There’s a quiet dining area which helped for my mum with her hearing aids. 6. Room service was generally fast and great quality. 7. As many free bottles- still or sparkling- of water that you wanted each day. 8. If you request extra free services like razors they are there promptly. 9. We were SO THANKFUL that the hotel has a large enough generator to run the AC system during the constant power cuts that South Africa currently has! 10. Valet parking was superb, friendly and prompt- saving a lot of time and money. 11. Staff cleaned our room and would have been happy to change towels and linen each day if wanted (we asked them not to!) 12. The hotel is across a small pedestrian bridge to a huge mall which meant a massive choice of activities and restaurants. 13. The pool area was a very nice place to sit and read. 14. The spa seemed popular and professionally run. 15. Free and fast WiFi. 16. The AC system was fantastic and got your room cold or warm promptly- you could control what you wanted in each room. 17. Within the hotel there’s a grill restaurant which was excellent.

Great choices for breakfast that cater for most dietary requirements. The staff here were SO helpful and friendly and could not do enough to accommodate our needs including sourcing ginger juice for my son who had a sore throat! We had the rooms facing Table Mountain and the views were spectacular so do consider booking these if they are available Another in our party had an upgraded room and this had a bathtub - an amazing option if available as the views from the bath are special! The location is in easy walking distance of a large shopping centre with a variety or fast food options, a cinema as well as clothing stores which came in handy as we had to buy jackets to cater for the unexpected cold snap during a very windy December!

Awesome breakfast with professional and friendly staff (which we expected having stayed twice before), great selection albeit consider guests shouldn't have to toast their own breads. Occasionally hot beverage service was forgotten and had to be requested again, as such I consider a staff member(s) should be dedicated to hot beverage service at breakfast. The refitted room was great however the toilet seemed to be fitted very low (ideal for a young child but not for aging adults having to crouch so low). Comfy bed but suggest a blanket is included in the room (we had to request one).

Michael

We stayed in the newly renovated 3rd floor rooms which enjoy a new layout but still have a great view. Bed was comfortable and room was very quiet. Breakfast was a little disappointing as the fruit was tasteless but there was plentty of other choices. We had dinner in the on- site restaurant which was good and the Hussar Grill serves fantastic steaks etc. Very convenient to be able to walk to Canal Walk shopping centre. Lovely swimming pool area for suntanning or swimming. Very quick and easy access to the N1 for Cape Town CBD or Paarl or West Coast.

Sandra

Beautiful location. I could see the canal from my window in my room. There is a bridge that connects to the mall where there are a lot of great stores and places to eat. Although the location is a little outside of the city center, the tour guides had no problem picking me up from the hotel and a quick Uber ride to other locations was easy and inexpensive. Great, friendly and helpful staff! The spa was amazing and the rooftop pool and bar is a vibe!
